The extraordinary performance and dynamics of the BMW X6 M Competition and BMW X6 M are based on a set of highly developed drive train and suspension technologies derived from motorsport. Whether you are cruising comfortably or racing on a track, outstanding precision and agility constantly define the M typical driving sensation.
High-performance M TwinPower Turbo V8-cylinder petrol engine.
The latest version of the high-performance M TwinPower Turbo V8-cylinder petrol engine guarantees performance in keeping with the latest standards. The high-revving unit develops an output of 460 kW (625 hp). The two turbochargers stand out thanks to their cross-cylinder bank exhaust manifold with optimum response characteristics. The V8 engine is also designed for extreme loads on the race track.
M specific suspension.
Featuring the Active M differential, the M specific suspension exquisitely highlights the vehicle's dynamic potential. In addition to the three driving modes COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+, you can also choose between three different Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) settings in order to adapt the level of stabilising support to suit your preferred style of driving.
M xDrive.
BMW M xDrive with Active M differential guarantees maximum traction and driving dynamics for everyday driving, as well as at the racetrack. The M specific technology combines the typical agility of a rear-wheel drive with the control of an all-wheel drive. You can choose between the two drive variants 4WD and 4WD Sport.
8-speed M Steptronic Sport transmission with Drivelogic.
The 8-speed M Steptronic Sport transmission with Drivelogic offers numerous shifting options: from extremely dynamic to particularly comfortable, and smooth to fuel-saving. You can shift manually using the gear lever or the gearshift paddles on the steering wheel, or put the vehicle into automatic mode and let the transmission do the work.
M Servotronic.
In every driving situation, M Servotronic delivers the right steering power, by adjusting to suit the current driving speed. In addition, it delivers a direct and precise steering feel at any speed. The system is specifically calibrated to M vehicles and offers two different characteristic curves.
M Compound brake.
Thanks to the use of various materials, M Compound brakes achieve outstanding deceleration values and are extremely stable and highly durable. They also weigh less, which has a positive impact on agility, dynamics and acceleration. The Blue metallic brake callipers with the M designation are the hallmark of these high-performance M specific brakes.
M Sport exhaust system.
The M Sport exhaust system delivers a dynamic sound that can be modified via the integrated exhaust valve mechanism. The SPORT and SPORT+ programmes, which can be selected via the Driving dynamics buttons, are accentuated by an even more intense engine sound, while the comfort-oriented programme prioritises more discreet engine acoustics.

BMW X6 M50i.
The M TwinPower Turbo V8-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW X6 M50i combines two turbochargers with Valvetronic fully variable valve control and the direct petrol injection High-Precision Injection. It achieves a peak output of 390 kW (530 hp) with a maximum torque of 750 Nm. Both turbochargers are positioned neatly between the cylinder banks.
BMW X6 M50d.
The M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder inline diesel engine in the BMW M50d is exceptional in every respect. State-of-the-art technology such as step charging with four turbochargers and a common rail high-pressure injection system ensures impressive power in every driving situation at up to 760 Nm.
Steptronic Sport transmission.
The 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with Launch Control offers sporty gear changes, both automatically and manually via the selector lever or gearshift paddles – for comfortable cruising or dynamic driving. In SPORT mode and with the gear lever in the left-hand S/M position, the gear shifts are configured for maximum performance.
Adaptive M suspension.
The Adaptive M suspension can be electrically adjusted at any time to suit the road and driving conditions. You can also adjust the suspension characteristics via the Driving Experience Control to enable your preferred driving style at the time – from comfortable to extremely athletic with markedly agile handling.
Gear lever with M badge.
The centre console is equipped with a coloured M badge in the area in front of the gear lever, which emphasises the sporty atmosphere in the interior and points to the driving dynamics qualities of the vehicle.
M Sport exhaust system.

Driving Experience Control.
The Driving Experience Control offers the driver the choice between the standard COMFORT mode, ECO PRO Mode, geared towards efficiency, and SPORT mode, which enables even more dynamic driving. The new interactive Adaptive Mode function continuously adjusts the adaptive suspension, the steering and the Steptronic transmission to suit the current driving situation.
22" M light alloy wheels 747 M.
The 22" M light alloy wheels in 747 M style provide a powerful foundation for the BMW X6 M50i and M50d. Designed in V-spoke design in the M specific paint finish of Cerium Grey, the wheels round off the sporty and authoritative appearance of the two SACs.
M Carbon rear spoiler.
The M Carbon rear spoiler emphasises the vehicle's powerful, sporty design and noticeably reduces.
M Leather steering wheel.
The M Leather steering wheel including multifunction buttons, an M badge and an integrated driver-side airbag is featured in three-spoke design. With a steering wheel rim in leather 'Walknappa' Black with black stitching and contoured thumb rests, it provides a direct, athletic steering experience.

Driving Assistant Professional.
Driving Assistant Professional offers optimum comfort and safety during critical or monotonous traffic situations. Apart from the contents of the Driving Assistant, it also includes Steering and Lane Control Assistant with extended functions, Lane change and Emergency Stop Assistant and Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision protection.
Parking Assistant Plus.
Parking Assistant Plus makes parking and manoeuvring the vehicle easier. It features among others the Surround View system including Top View, Panorama View, Remote View 3D, as well as a lateral parking aid, the emergency braking function Active Park Distance Control, Parking Assistant with longitudinal and lateral guidance and Reversing Assistant.
M specific Head-Up Display.
The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display incl. M specific display* projects all information relevant to the journey directly into your field of vision, allowing you to fully concentrate on driving. Information such as the current speed and, depending on the equipment, navigation directions, Speed Limit Info including no-overtaking indicator, along with telephone and entertainment lists are displayed. * Only available in the BMW X6 M Competition and BMW X6 M.
BMW Live Cockpit Professional.
The BMW Live Cockpit Professional with navigation function includes two high-quality displays consisting of a high-resolution 10.25" Control Display that can be operated by touch and a fully digital 12.3" instrument display. The BMW Operating System 7 can also be operated via the iDrive Touch Controller.
BMW Display Key with M Logo.
The BMW Display Key with M logo displays various vehicle status data and allows selected functions to be operated via the integrated touch display. That allows vehicle functions to be conveniently operated with the key.
BMW Digital Key.
The BMW Digital Key turns your compatible smartphone* into a vehicle key. To unlock, simply hold the smartphone next to the door handle; before starting your BMW place it on the smartphone tray. In addition, you can send a Digital Key to up to five friends.
